Problems with Wearing Sweaty Gym Clothes All Day

We've all been guilty of keeping on our sweaty gym clothes after working out. Don't worry, no one is judging you, but if you work out every day to keep fit, there's something you ought to know.

Coming in from a run or a work out, it's easy to get distracted by emails, messages or other tasks, before you know it, you've been sitting in sweaty clothes for an hour or two.

But what does this mean for your skin? Well, depending on your skin type, it can mean a whole lot of trouble...

The main problem is moisture. Sweat and bacteria should be washed off at the earliest opportunity, but if they get trapped in clothing fabric, it starts to irritate the skin. This can lead to infections, dermatitis or acne.

Heat and humidity create a whole new set of problems, causing sweat ducts get blocked and preventing sweat from evaporating on the skin's surface. This is the prime cause of prickly heat rash, which can become very uncomfortable. Our advice is to take a shower as soon as you can after a workout and then dust your skin with Snake Brand prickly heat cooling powder, before changing into clean clothes.
